Hosted by IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium 2019 (IGARSS 2019) will be held from Sunday July 28th through Friday August 2nd, 2019 at Convention Center “PACIFICO Yokohama” in Yokohama, Japan. The conference main theme is Global-Environment Observation and Disaster Mitigation.”

IGARSS is a premier event in remote sensing and provides an ideal forum for obtaining up-to-date information about the latest developments, exchanging ideas, identifying future trends and networking with the international geoscience and remote sensing community.

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society student members are invited to submit a paepr to the IGARSS Student Paper Competition. The selection of the finalist papers will be done by a committee of experts and the selected students will present their papers during a special session at the Symposium.
Accepted paeprs will be published in the proceedings on IEEE Xplore only if presented at the Symposium by one of the list authors duly registered.
Authors who wish to give a presentation are requested to submit a paper (minimum of 2 pages; maximum of 4 pages). A link to submit the paper online will be available at the Symposium website beginning 12 November 2018.
Yokohama is a waterfront city located adjacent to the capital city of Tokyo and is just half na hour from Haneda Airport. The city can also be promptly and comfortably accessed from Narita Airport by train or bus. THere is Japan's largest convention center, "Pacifico Yokohama" in the harbor area. International conferences, exhibitions and events are held throughout the year, and many tourists visit from home and abroad. In addition, since the port opening in 1859, international cultures have been cultivated in Yokohama. You can enjoy your stay visiting history sights, sightseeing spots and shopping areas pre- and post-IGARSS 2019.
